Meet Our Trainers
After year’s in the graphic arts and print industry Larry decided to make the leap and follow his passion for physical fitness by pursing his Personal Training Certification. Larry’s athletic background is embedded in his years as a track and soccer athlete. His training methodology is centered upon functional performance through the development of stabilizer muscles and mobility in client’s movement. His training focuses on stabilizing the kinetic chain in order to enhance athletic performance for the weekend warrior to prospective athletes looking to take their skills to the next level. He also is well versed in weight loss training programs to speed up client’s metabolism in order to burn away unwanted fat and lean out clients body composition. When Larry is not training clients he can be found learning about new ways to challenge the body, hitting the road for a run or hanging with his fur pup Yager.
After many years of training for sports in high school I made the decision to take the next step and further my education on fitness by pursuing degrees in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from the College at Brockport. During my time at the college I was given many opportunities including training college teams, becoming a High School strength and conditioning coach, and working with many different populations throughout my internship. I cant wait to use what I've learned to help people find a love for exercise just as I did before college.
Cheryl is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Council of Strength and Fitness and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor with the American Fitness Association of America. In addition to her personal training certification, she also received a Fitness Specialist Certificate from the Cooper Institute and an Exercise Science and Management Development Certification from the Rochester Institute of Technology.Prior to training at Studio 22, Cheryl owned her own personal training studio in Spencerport. She has taught group fitness classes and provided personal training services and wellness workshops to various academic institutions, business establishments, health clubs and private fitness studios in the Rochester area.Cheryl takes a "back to basics" functional training approach when designing programs by providing you with the tools you need to get started and the knowledge and ability to incorporate the exercises into your daily routine, safely and effectively. She especially enjoys working with the senior community and with those who may be struggling with physical, emotional and motivational challenges, ask her to share her story….there’s always a way, you just may have to do things a bit differently!
Kyle discovered his passion for training during his high school athletics career and has pursued this passion by successfully completing his Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Kyle is continuing his education at SUNY Cortland where he is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Fitness Development. In addition to his studies, Kyle works at the SUNY Cortland Fitness Center as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor with a wide range of populations. Kyle enjoys helping others reach their fitness goals and ultimately moving better through a functional training approach. When Kyle is not training clients he can be found discovering new ways to train his body, catching up with friends, or enjoying the beautiful waters of Lake Ontario.
